# Use the Vantage Circle mobile app

> Install Vantage Circle from the App Store or Google Play, enter your work email or employee ID, and sign in the way your company set up. One app covers every Vantage Circle product your company uses.

The app is called **Vantage Circle**. There's one app for all Vantage Circle products, and it shows the ones your company uses. Vantage Fit has its own separate app.

## Before you start

- You need iOS 16 or later on iPhone, or Android 7.0 or later.
- You need a Vantage Circle account. If you've never signed in, see [Sign in to Vantage Circle](/en/help/account/sign-in-and-get-started/sign-in-to-vantage-circle/).
- Some companies don't allow the app. If yours doesn't, you see "Error, Your organization does not support mobile login." Use the website instead.

## Sign in

1. Open the app. Under **Email/Employee ID**, enter your work email or your employee ID. Select **Next**.
2. If your email belongs to more than one company, pick yours under **Select Organization**.
3. Sign in the way your company set up:
   - **Password:** type it and select **Login**.
   - **One-time code:** select **Send OTP**. Enter the 4-digit code from your email and select **Verify**.
   - **Single sign-on (SSO):** select the button to continue. Your company's sign-in page opens. Sign in with your work account.

   If your company offers more than one way, links under the button switch between them, such as **Login with OTP** or **Login with Password**.
4. If your company asks for your consent, a consent page opens first. If you decline it, you're signed out.

The labels above are from the iPhone app. The Android app's sign-in screens can word things slightly differently.

If the app says "You are not registered yet", select **Register Now**. Your company's Vantage Circle website opens so you can create your account.

You stay signed in until you log out. Some companies ask you to sign in again with a code after a set time away from the app.

## Find your way around

The bar at the bottom shows up to three features your company uses, such as **Work**, **Perks** and **Redeem**. **Account** and **Notifications** are always there. The first tab is always labelled **Home**, whichever feature it holds.

- The **Work** tab has shortcuts such as **Appreciate**, **Greet**, **Leaderboard** and **Wall of Fame**. You see the ones your company uses and your role allows.
- **Account** has your profile, settings and **Log Out**.

## Recognize a colleague

If your company uses Recognition:

1. Open the **Work** tab and select **Appreciate**. If Work is your first tab, it's labelled **Home**.
2. Search for colleagues by name or email and select them. Then select **Next** on Android, or **Proceed** on iPhone.
3. Choose a badge and select **Proceed**.
4. Write your message, add hashtags and choose who can see the post.
5. Select **Preview** to check it, then **Post** on Android or **Submit** on iPhone.

## Lock the app on iPhone

To ask for Face ID or Touch ID each time you open the app, go to **Account** → **Account Preferences** and turn on **Enable App Lock**. If your company requires it, it's already on and says "Your Organization has enforced this feature to be enabled."

## Notifications

The first time, the app asks "Can We Notify You?" Allow it to get alerts about recognition and other activity. To change them later, go to the **Account** tab.

## If something goes wrong

**"Update App"** Your app is out of date. Select **Update Now**. On Android, some updates are required before you can carry on.

**"It seems you do not have an active Internet connection. Please connect and try again."** Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data.

**"Your session has expired. Please log out and log in again."** Go to **Account** → **Log Out**, then sign in again.

**"Sorry, Vantage Circle app is not supported in rooted device or virtual device."** The Android app doesn't run on rooted phones or emulators. Use the website instead.
