# How cashback works

> Shop at a store you opened from Perks → Cashback Stores and you get points back. They're added once the store reports your order, so the timing depends on the store.

Cashback offers give you points back when you buy from an online store through Perks. You'll find them in Perks under **Cashback Stores**. Each offer shows what you can get next to **Earn**, often as a percentage of what you spend.

Your company may call points something other than Vantage Points. The screens use your company's name for them.

## How the points reach you

1. In Perks, you select **Activate Offer** and the store's website opens in a new tab. Vantage Circle records that you came from Perks.
2. You buy something in that same visit.
3. The store reports your order to Vantage Circle. Your points are worked out from what the store pays for it.
4. The points are added to your points balance, and you get an email saying how many.

There's no fixed wait. Points arrive when the store reports the order, so it depends on the store. Some stores also report cancellations and returns later. When they do, the points are taken back and you get an email about that too.

Cashback points are the same as your other points. They show in your points balance and you can redeem them in the usual way. See [Redeem your points](/en/help/rewards-hub/redeem-your-points/).

## How much you get

The amount depends on what the store pays for your order and on your company's cashback setting. That's why the same store can show a different **Earn** amount at another company. The points you get are worked out from the store's report of your order, not from the figure on the offer.

## Which offers you see

Perks shows the offers for the country and city you use Vantage Circle in. Some offers are open to everyone on Vantage Circle and some are only for your company. So a colleague in another country sees a different list.

**Corporate Offers** work differently. They give you a discount or a coupon code to use at the store, not points. See [Discounts and coupons](/en/help/perks/discounts-and-coupons/).

If you don't see **Cashback Stores** in Perks, your company doesn't have cashback offers.
