# Make an offer on a classified ad

> Open the ad with View Offer, select Make an Offer, accept the disclaimer, enter your price and a message, and select Submit Offer. The seller gets your offer by email.

Open **Classified** in Perks and stay on the **All Ads** tab. It shows approved ads in your country. Narrow it down with the categories on the left, or use **Sort By**: **Popular**, **What's new** or **Nearby**, which shows ads within 80 km. Each ad shows how far away it is.

1. Select **View Offer** on the ad you like. It opens in a new tab.
2. Select **Make an Offer**, read the **Disclaimer** and select **I Accept**.
3. Enter your **Price** as a whole number, and a **Message** for the seller of up to 5,000 characters.
4. Decide whether to turn on **Share Contact Details** (see below).
5. Select **Submit Offer**.

You'll see "Your offer has been sent. The Seller will get back to you shortly." The rest happens between you and the seller, outside Vantage Circle. Vantage Circle doesn't handle payment.

## What the seller sees, and what you get

The seller gets an email with your name, profile picture, work email address, city, price and message. In **My Ads** they also see your name, picture, price and message.

**Share Contact Details** adds your phone number to both. The switch says "I agree to share my contact no and Profile Image with the Seller", but your picture and work email go to the seller either way. Only your phone number depends on the switch.

You get an email too. It confirms your price and gives the seller's email address, the item's location and the seller's phone number.

## Change your offer

Open the ad again and select **Update Offer**. Change the price or message and submit it. The seller gets an email about the new offer. There's no way to withdraw an offer, so if you change your mind, tell the seller.

## If something goes wrong

**You see Edit Ad instead of Make an Offer.** It's your own ad. You can't make an offer on it.

**"Please enter a valid number more than 0"** Enter the price as a whole number, without symbols.

**Submit Offer is greyed out.** Enter both a price and a message.
