# Redeem a discount coupon

> Go to Redeem → Coupons, select Redeem on a coupon and confirm. You pay in points, and the code arrives by email and in My Vouchers → Gift Cards.

A discount coupon is a code that takes money off an order on a brand's website or app. You pay for it with your reward points. A gift card is different: it holds a set amount that you spend like cash.

## Before you start

- Coupons use your main points balance. If your company gives you more than one points wallet, switch to the main one.
- If you don't see **Coupons**, your company doesn't offer them.

## Redeem a coupon

1. **Open Coupons.** Select **Redeem** in the top menu (**Redeem Points** on a phone), then **Coupons**. You can also select **View All Coupons** in the **Discount Coupons** section of the Perks home page.
2. **Pick a coupon.** Browse **Featured Coupons** and **All Coupons**, or use **Search coupons...**. Select **Redeem** on the one you want.
3. **Check the terms.** The window shows **Terms and Conditions** and **About**. The brand sets its rules here: minimum order value, end date, sale items and combining codes. Read them now, before you spend points.
4. **Choose the amount.** Check the **Unit Price**. In India you can also choose a **Quantity**. **Total value** shows what you'll get.
5. **Review and confirm.** Continue to **Confirm Gift Card**, which shows the points you'll pay. Select **Confirm**.

After you confirm, you'll see one of these messages:

- "Your Gift Card(s) are on its way. Please check your email after few minutes."
- "The Gift Card(s) you redeemed need your confirmation. Please check your e-mail." Approve it from the email, or under your profile picture → **My Vouchers** → **Gift Cards** → **Approve Now**. The request is valid for 1 day.
- "Thank you for your request. Gift Card(s) will be sent to your registered email within … business hrs." The coupon is sent once it's ready.

These messages say "Gift Card" because coupons go through the same steps.

## Find your code

Your code goes to your registered email. It's also under your profile picture → **My Vouchers** → **Gift Cards**, with the date it works until next to **Offer valid till**. Select **View Code** to see it, or **Resend** to get the email again.

To use it, copy the code and paste it into the promo code or coupon code box at the brand's checkout.

There's no option to cancel a coupon once you've redeemed it.

## If something goes wrong

**"Sorry, you do not have sufficient …"** You don't have enough points for this coupon. If your company lets you buy points, you'll see **Add Points** instead.

**"Your email is un-verified. Please verify your email by clicking on the button below."** Select **Verify Email**, open the link in the email you get, then try again.

**"You have exceeded the redemption limit for the hour. Please try again after sometime."** Your company limits how much you can redeem in an hour. Wait and try again.

**"Your previous redemption request is still being processed. Please wait a moment before trying again."** Your last redemption hasn't finished yet. Check **My Vouchers** before you try again, so you don't redeem twice.

**The button says Out of Stock.** The coupon is out of stock. Pick another one or check back later.
