It depends on your company. If your company doesn't use points expiry, the points it gives you don't expire.

## If your company uses expiry

Each batch of points you're given gets its own end date. A batch is one award, one Vantage Card or one lot of points from your HR team. The end date is usually 12 months after the day you got the points. Some companies use a different period, so check with your HR team.

Points you earn as cashback from Perks don't expire this way, and neither do points you bought.

## Where to see the end date

- **Points Statement.** Points your HR team adds show "Valid till" and the date, for example "Valid till 04-03-2027". Award rows don't show a date.
- **Reminder email.** If 250 or more points from one batch are due to expire in the next 30 days, you get an email. The subject reads like "Anita, Your 600 Vantage Points getting expired in 12 days on March 4, 2027". Reminders go out on the 5th and 20th of each month at most companies.

## Which points get used first

When you redeem, your oldest points from awards and your HR team are used first. Cashback points are used after those.

## What happens when the date passes

Whatever is left of that batch is taken off your balance. Your **Points Statement** shows a debit row with the batch's description and "EXPIRED". You can't get expired points back yourself. If you think points expired by mistake, ask your HR team.
