Post a classified ad
In Perks, open Classified and select Post Free Ad. Accept the disclaimer, fill in the steps and select Post Ad. Your ad is checked before it's listed.
Classifieds is where you buy, sell and rent things with colleagues, from a used car to a spare room or a carpool. If your company uses it, you’ll find Classified in the Perks menu bar, or in the three-dot menu at the end of the bar. On a phone, look under More.
- Select Post Free Ad.
- Read the Disclaimer and select I Accept. It also lists items you can’t advertise.
- Under Select a Category, pick one: Real Estate, Flatmates, Carpooling, Automobiles, Mobiles and Accessories, Furniture, Electronics and Appliances, or Others. Select Next.
- Enter an Ad Title, the Item Location and the Price to be listed, then select Next.
- For the location, select Use Current Location, or type in Search for city and pick your city from the list.
- The price must be a whole number above 0.
- Your ad is always listed in the country you’re using Vantage Circle in. Changing Country doesn’t move it.
- Write the Ad Description, up to 5,000 characters. Check the Show Ad to all Users switch (see below), then select Next.
- Select Browse photo and add at least one photo, each up to 2 MB. No photo yet? Choose from our default image downloads a stock picture for your category. Add it with Browse photo. Select Next when the uploads finish.
- Check the preview and select Post Ad.
You’ll see “Your ad has been posted.” It isn’t listed straight away. In the My Ads tab its status shows Pending Approval until it’s checked. You get an email when it’s live, or if it isn’t approved. Once it’s live, colleagues in your company and city get a notification about it.
Who can see your ad
Show Ad to all Users is on by default. As the screen says, “This Ad will be visible to employees of all companies” on Vantage Circle in your country, not only your colleagues. Turn it off to keep the ad within your company. If you don’t see the switch, your company only shows ads to its own people.
Your name isn’t shown on the ad. When someone makes an offer, though, they get an email with your work email address and the phone number on your profile.
Buying and paying happen between you and the buyer. Vantage Circle doesn’t handle payment.
Get more people to see it
Once your ad is live, find it on the All Ads tab and select Share this offer. Search for colleagues, add up to 10 at a time, and select Share Now. Each one gets an email recommending your ad.
If something goes wrong
“Maximum file size allowed (2MB)” That photo is too big. Make it smaller and add it again.
“Please enter a valid number more than 0” Enter the price as a whole number, without symbols.
Next is greyed out. Fill in every field marked with an asterisk. On the photo step, wait for each upload to finish.
“You can only share this to 10 colleagues at a time.” Share with the first 10, then open Share this offer again for the rest.
