Pulse Lite and Pulse Pro
Pulse Lite is the free plan. It has 5 free surveys, shows 3 comments, and doesn't include your own questions, templates, extra survey languages or email sign-offs. Pulse Pro has none of these limits.
Your plan shows next to the title on Pulse → Surveys. Pulse Lite shows a Pulse Lite tag, how many free surveys you’ve used, such as “3 of 5 free surveys used”, and an Upgrade to Pro button. Pulse Pro shows a Pulse Pro tag.
| Pulse Lite | Pulse Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Surveys | 5 free surveys | No limit |
| Comments | 3 comments shown | All comments |
| Your own questions | No | Yes |
| Your own survey templates | No | Yes |
| Additional survey languages | No | Yes |
| Your own email sign-off | No | Yes |
Overview, Analytics, Heatmap and the built-in templates and questions work the same on both plans.
What you’ll see on Pulse Lite
- When you’ve used your free surveys, Create survey opens a box called You have used your free surveys instead of the wizard. It says “Pulse Lite includes 5 free surveys, for up to 20 participants each.”
- Comments shows 3 comments, with a note such as “Pulse Lite shows 3 of 48 comments. Upgrade to Pulse Pro to see all feedback.”
- Add question in Pulse → Questions and Create template in Pulse → Templates carry a Pro tag. Selecting either opens Upgrade to Pulse Pro instead of the editor.
- Survey question languages in Pulse → Settings says “Your Pulse plan does not include additional survey languages.”
- The Email sign-off box in the survey invitation, and the Sign-off box in Pulse → Emails, are locked. The hint says “Your Pulse plan does not include custom sign-offs.”
Upgrade to Pulse Pro
Select Upgrade to Pro on Pulse → Surveys, or on the comments note. In the box that opens, select Upgrade now. It opens the employee surveys page of the Vantage Circle website in a new tab. Every upgrade box has the same Upgrade now button. You can’t change your plan from inside the dashboard.
Once you’re on Pulse Pro, the limits above go away. Comments you couldn’t see on Pulse Lite were still saved, so they show up too.
