Vantage Circle

How the Vantage Card works

A Vantage Card is a printed recognition card with a QR code and a PIN. You claim it once, within a year of it being made, and its full points value goes into your wallet.

A Vantage Card is a printed card your company hands you to recognize your work. You might also hear it called a Phygital Recognition Card. You claim it in your Vantage Circle account by scanning its QR code or typing its PIN.

What’s on the card

  • Front: the award’s picture and name, with your company’s logo or a design your company chose.
  • Back: the QR code, the PIN and short instructions. A card with points also shows how many points it holds and how many points make one unit of your currency.

Cards with and without points

  • With points. Claiming it adds its points to your wallet. You also get an award post on the feed and an award email, if your company uses them.
  • Without points. Claiming it gives you the appreciation only: the feed post and the email.

The message in the feed post is the one written when the card was made.

The rules

  • No activation. You don’t need to activate the card. It works as soon as it’s made, as long as the award it belongs to is still turned on.
  • One use. Once a card is claimed, nobody can use it again, you included.
  • All at once. The card’s full points value goes into your wallet when you claim it. You can’t take part of it now and the rest later.
  • One year. A card works for one year from the day it was made. The date isn’t printed on the card, so claim it soon.
  • Your company only. A card only works with an account at the company it was made for.

Points from a card

Once they’re in your wallet, card points work like any other points you’ve received. You don’t have to spend them all at once. They follow your company’s usual points rules, including any expiry date. See Your points.
