Create a greeting
Go to Recognition → Greetings → Create greeting, name it, choose or upload a card and select Create greeting. Employees can send it straight away.
A greeting is a card employees send each other for birthdays, festivals and other occasions. Go to Recognition → Greetings and select Create greeting.
- Enter a Greeting name of up to 50 characters, for example “Happy Diwali”.
- Under Greeting card, choose a card. The preview on the left shows it at full size.
- Select Create greeting. You’ll see “Greeting created”, and employees can send it straight away.
There’s no description to fill in, even though the subtitle at the top of the form mentions one.
Upload your own card
Select the + tile at the start of the cards. The card must be a PNG of exactly 1080 × 1080 px. Other files are refused. You’ll see “Upload a PNG image.” or “Upload a PNG image that is 1080 × 1080 px and has a transparent background.” Your upload is added to the cards, ready to choose.
What employees see
Employees find greetings under Greetings when they recognise someone. If they don’t see it, greetings aren’t turned on for your company. Ask your Vantage Circle account manager.
Every greeting is available in every country. A sent greeting is private. Only the people it’s sent to can see it, and they’re told by email.
Change, copy or turn off a greeting
Open the menu (three dots) on the greeting’s card:
- Edit opens the form. Select Save changes when you’re done.
- Duplicate opens a copy named “Copy of” and the original name.
- Deactivate stops employees sending it. Activate turns it back on. Both ask you to confirm.
If you edit an inactive greeting, saving asks Save and activate this greeting? You can’t save the change and keep it inactive.
If something goes wrong
- “Greeting cards could not be loaded” means the card library didn’t load. Select Try again.
- “Permission Denied” when you save means your role is missing a permission the save needs. Ask a super admin to make the change.
