How Smart Nudges and AI writing help work
Smart Nudges suggest colleagues to recognize, based on work your company's tools have recorded. The Recognition Guide and Rewrite with AI help you write the message. You always choose what's sent.
These features used to be grouped as Intelligent Recognition. Each one is turned on by your company, so you may see some, all or none of them.
Smart Nudges
Smart Nudges remind you about colleagues who helped get something done recently, such as closing a ticket or winning a deal. They’re picked by AI from summaries of finished work in tools your company has connected, such as a ticketing system.
You’ll find them in two places:
- On your home feed. A card says “Great work leaves clues. Smart Nudge finds them.” Select Show moments to see recent moments. Each one names the colleague and how you work together, such as Peer or Your report. Select Appreciate or Nominate to start recognizing them with the details filled in.
- When you send a badge. On the first step, under No one in mind?, select Show moments. Picking a moment adds that person and moves you on. If there’s a suggested message, it’s put in the message box for you to edit.
A moment may say “A colleague already recognized this”. Each one shows “AI-suggested from work activity - you always have the final say.” Nothing is sent until you send it yourself.
Your own activity
The first time, you may be asked whether your activity can be used for Smart Nudges. The pop-up says what’s read: “Summaries of completed activities, including titles and basic details such as priority and dates, matched to you through your work email.” It also says what’s never read: “Your code, ticket conversations, chats, documents, or customer data.”
Select Count me in to agree. Not now asks you again later. To opt out, go to My Profile → My Account Preference. Once you opt out, your activity isn’t used for Smart Nudges.
Help writing your message
- Recognition Guide. If your company uses it, you’ll see Proceed using recognition guide when you choose a badge, or when you choose an approver for an award. It opens Your Recognition Guide: a checklist of what makes a good message, which ticks off as you write.
- Rewrite with AI. Inside the guide, once you’ve written at least 50 characters, Rewrite with AI suggests a new version of your message. Read it and change it before you send.
- Smart Comment. If your company uses it, select Smart Comment when commenting on a post, then choose a tone. It suggests comments you can pick from.
In the guide, if your message reads as abusive, you’ll see “Abusive content detected in message”. Change the wording before you send.
These steps are for the web.
