Download recognition reports

Go to Recognition → Reports, pick a report, set its filters, select Generate report, then Download CSV or Download Excel. The file holds every matching row, not just the ones on screen.

Recognition reports give you the rows behind the numbers: who recognised whom, for what and when. Go to Recognition → Reports. You’ll see the reports set up for your company, and Search reports finds one by name.

Which report to use

ReportWhat it lists
Employee points ReportAwards that carried reward points, with the giver, the receiver, points, award value, nomination date, status and approval date
Appreciation ReportAppreciations and greetings, which carry no points, with the giver, the receiver, the badge name, the date and the message
Award Nomination Status ReportAward nominations and where each one is in the approval process
Panel Nominations ReportPanel award nominations, with the nominator, the nominee, their justification, rating and voting status
Profile Badge ReportThe profile badges employees have received
Campaign Badge ReportFor each badge in a campaign, how many people gave and received it, with the campaign’s dates and status

To compare points-based awards with appreciations across departments, run Employee points Report and Appreciation Report with the same Department and date choices.

The columns and filters for each report are set up per company, so yours can differ slightly from the lists here. Budget, redemption and transaction reports are in Rewards Hub → Reports. See Emails and reports.

Generate and download a report

  1. Select the report’s card. The report opens with “Report not generated” and its filters above.
  2. Check the filters. A report starts on your own country, all departments, all columns and This week. Change Country if you want other countries too.
  3. Pick any other filters you need. Some wait for another one first. The awards list needs a country, and the managers list needs a country and a department. Until then the filter is greyed out, and pointing at it shows a hint such as “Choose a country first.”
  4. Select Generate report. The first rows appear with a row count next to the title. Select Show more rows to see more.
  5. Select Download CSV or Download Excel. Excel keeps dates as dates. A CSV opened in Excel can reformat them.

The download holds every row that matches your filters, with the columns you kept. It isn’t limited to the rows shown on screen. For a large report, the progress dial shows “Preparing download…” while the rows are collected.

Panel Nominations Report needs at least one panel award before Generate report works. Until you pick one, the button says “Choose a panel award first.” when you point at it.

Campaign Badge Report can also be opened from a campaign’s page with View report. It then opens with that campaign already chosen. See Campaigns.

Select the back arrow next to the report’s name to go back to the list.

What’s in the files

The files include names, email addresses and employee IDs. Recognition messages and justifications are included too, whatever visibility the post had on the feed. Share them only with people who are allowed to see that.

If something goes wrong

  • Download CSV and Download Excel are greyed out: the note beside them says why. “Generate the report before downloading it.” means you haven’t run it yet. “Choose at least one column to download.” means you’ve cleared every column.
  • “Filters changed. Generate the report again to update it.”: you changed a filter after generating. Select Generate report again before downloading, so the file matches the filters.
  • “No results match the selected filters.”: nothing matches. Widen the date range or check Country, which starts on your own country only.
  • “Report could not be generated. Check the filters and try again.” or “Report could not be downloaded. Try again.”: try again. If it keeps failing, contact Vantage Circle support with the report name and filters.
  • “No reports yet” with “No reports are available for your company.”: no Recognition reports are set up for your company. Contact your Vantage Circle account manager.
