Download Pulse reports
Go to Pulse → Reports, pick a survey and select Download report to get one Excel file with every report sheet for that survey. A named survey's file lists each employee's name, email and answers.
Go to Pulse → Reports and pick the survey with Survey type and Survey at the top. A card shows the survey’s status, Survey type, Dates, number of Questions and Anonymity. Select Download report to save one Excel file with every report sheet available for that survey.
Download report is greyed out until employees have answered. The card says “A report will be available after employees submit responses.”
What’s in the file
For an anonymous survey, the usual sheets are:
- participation by department;
- scores by location, department, gender and tenure;
- a feedback sheet with each comment, its department and its sentiment;
- written answers, if the survey has written questions;
- answer splits for multiple-choice questions, if it has any.
Some accounts get a different set of group sheets, set up for them by Vantage Circle.
In the group sheets, groups with fewer than 5 invited employees are combined into a row called Unknown, so a small team can’t be singled out. A few accounts use a different limit.
Named surveys
If the survey’s Anonymity says Named, the file is different. It lists each employee’s name, email address and answers. The card warns you, and you’re asked “Download a named report?” before it downloads. Store and share the file securely.
If something goes wrong
“Report not downloaded” The report came back empty. Choose another survey or try again later.
“The report could not be downloaded.” Select Try again on the card. If it keeps failing, ask a super admin to check that your role can view survey reports.
“No survey report is available for this selection.” Pick another survey.
