How do I manage survey email templates?

Every survey sent through Vantage Pulse includes an invitation email that employees receive with the survey link. You can manage the available templates from Configuration in the left navigation, or choose and customize a template during Step 5 (Email Invitation) of the survey creation wizard.

The four pre-built templates

Vantage Pulse includes four preset invitation templates:

  • Pulse Survey: a general-purpose template suitable for most engagement surveys
  • Mental Health: a warmer, more sensitive tone for wellbeing-focused surveys
  • Work Culture: framed around culture and belonging
  • Back to Office: for return-to-office or hybrid working surveys

Customizing a template

Each template can be edited before use. You can adjust the subject line, body copy, and sign-off to match your organization’s tone or add context about why the survey is being run. Telling employees why their input matters tends to improve participation rates.

The survey link is automatically embedded in the email. You don’t need to add it manually.

Choosing the right template

Pick the template that fits the purpose of your survey. A mental health survey sent with a generic “complete your pulse survey” subject line can feel dismissive. Using the right template signals to employees that the survey has been put together thoughtfully.
