How do I manage the Question Bank?

The Question Bank is the library of questions available for your surveys. You can access it two ways: via Configuration in the left navigation, or via Surveys then Question.

What’s in the Question Bank

Vantage Pulse comes with 34 pre-built, validated questions across 10 engagement categories:

  • Relationship with Manager (5 questions)
  • Autonomy (2 questions)
  • Relationship with Peers (3 questions)
  • Recognition (3 questions)
  • Compensation and Benefits (3 questions)
  • Personal Growth (3 questions)
  • Engagement (4 questions)
  • Alignment (6 questions)
  • Wellness (2 questions)
  • Work Environment (3 questions)

Questions come in three types: Likert scale (rated 1 to 5), multiple choice, and open-ended.

Enabling and disabling questions

From the Question Bank, you can toggle individual questions on or off. Disabled questions won’t appear as options during survey creation. This is useful if certain questions aren’t relevant to your organization.

Adding custom questions

If you need a question that isn’t in the standard library, reach out to your account manager. They’ll add it to your Question Bank. Keep in mind that custom questions don’t have benchmarking data, so they can’t be compared against industry averages. Only standard questions support benchmarking.
