Is it beneficial to add custom questions to the survey?

Custom questions let you ask about things specific to your organization, like a recent company change, a new policy, or something unique to your culture. In the right situations, they’re a useful addition to the standard question library.

The trade-off to know

Benchmarking is only available for standard questions. Standard questions are validated across thousands of organizations, which means your scores can be compared against industry and geography benchmarks. Custom questions don’t have that data, so they can’t be benchmarked.

Use standard questions as the foundation of your survey, and only add custom questions when you have a specific need that the library doesn’t cover.

How to add custom questions

Custom questions are added to your account by your dedicated account manager. Reach out to them with the questions you’d like added and they’ll make them available in your Question Bank.
